Out Of – Place

Out of Place explores the social, political, and psychological forces that shape our experiences of belonging and alienation. Through a collection of lens-based and pictorially enhanced images, the project delves into themes of transience and permanence, examining what it means to feel ‘in’ or ‘out’ of place.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Originality and Creativity: We are seeking artworks that push the boundaries of traditional art forms and explore new ways of expressing the theme of being ‘in and out’ of place.
  • Visual Storytelling: Your work should tell a story or convey a narrative that delves into the psychological and social aspects of being in and out of place.
  • Anonymity and Mystery: While your artwork will be displayed, the origin, space, time, and geo-location of the subjects should never be disclosed in either the image or the title. This adds a layer of mystery and invites the viewer to imagine the stories behind each piece.
